Privacy: how Growbot works with your Instagram account
Growbot is a browser extension that automates actions while you are logged into Instagram normally. It does not ask for your Instagram password.
Why
Unlike cloud bots that store your credentials, Growbot only works when you are logged in locally. That limits risk but means you must keep a tab open for automation.
How to use it
- Install from Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons (official listings only).
- Log into Instagram yourself in the browser.
- Growbot acts through that session. Instagram sees your home IP, not a datacenter.
- Growbot subscription uses a separate Growbot account (email + Stripe), not your IG password.
- Close Instagram when not automating. Growbot stops when the tab is gone.
Tips
- Never buy lifetime license keys from third parties (scam).
