How to comment on Instagram posts with Growbot

Why

Commenting on posts in your niche is one of the strongest engagement strategies on Instagram. People notice comments more than follows, especially when the comment feels personal. Growbot automates this by posting comments from templates you write, using spintax to make each one slightly different.

How to use it

1. First, set up your comment templates. Go to Settings and open Commenting Options.
2. In the Comment templates text area, write one template per line. Use spintax to create variation:
   • Spintax format: {option1|option2|option3}
   • Example: {Great|Nice|Amazing} {post|shot|content}! {Keep it up|Love this}
   • Growbot picks one option from each set of curly braces randomly, so the example above could produce "Nice shot! Love this" or "Amazing content! Keep it up" and many other combinations.
3. Load posts into the Media Queue from any source (hashtag, feed, account page, or location).
4. Click Process Queue and choose Comment on Posts.
5. Growbot posts one comment per media item, picking a random template and resolving the spintax each time. It waits between comments using your delay settings.
6. You can also schedule comments for later through the Actions Queue. When scheduling, the comment action appears as Comment on Post in the action type selector.

Tips

• Write at least 5 to 10 different templates so your comments do not repeat too often. The more variation, the more natural it looks.
• Avoid generic comments like just an emoji. Write something that could plausibly be a real reply to the type of post you are targeting.
• Test your spintax by reading through several possible combinations before running a batch. Make sure every combination makes grammatical sense.
• Start with a small queue (10 to 20 posts) to see how your templates look on actual posts before scaling up.
