Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026
Scope
Growbot Automator for TikTok ("Growbot," "we," "us," or "our") operates a browser extension and related websites, including https://www.growbotforfollowers.com/ (the "Service").
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, where we keep it, and who we share it with when you install or use the Growbot Automator for TikTok Chrome extension, visit our website, or create a Growbot account. If you use the Service, you agree to these practices. Growbot Automator for Instagram has its own privacy policy.
We do not collect your TikTok password. Growbot runs in your browser on tiktok.com and uses your existing TikTok login. We do not ask for, receive, or store TikTok credentials.
Data we collect
On your device
The extension keeps some information in your browser so automation can run and your settings survive between sessions:
- Settings such as automation options, active hours, comment templates, theme, and language.
- Queue and list data: accounts, videos, and comments in your queues, plus your whitelist, blacklist, and the list of accounts Growbot has already acted on.
- Community Monitoring data, if you leave that feature on: your own TikTok followers and following lists, and the changes found between scans (new followers and unfollowers). These lists stay in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
- The extension's activity log.
- Identifiers: an anonymous installation GUID and, if you log in, a cached session token and email address.
This data stays on your device unless you remove the extension, clear browser storage, or the extension sends specific items to our servers as described below.
On Growbot servers
The extension talks to our servers at growbotforfollowers.com over HTTPS. What we receive depends on how you use Growbot:
- Installation and trial data: anonymous user GUID, TikTok username, and install timestamp. The extension sends this when it starts so we can run free trials and check subscriptions.
- Growbot account data, if you register or log in: email address, password (stored only as a hash on our servers), optional referral code, extension version, browser user-agent string, and the TikTok usernames you use with Growbot.
- Subscription checks: user GUID and TikTok username when we verify whether a free trial or paid subscription is active.
- Scheduled actions: when you schedule follows, unfollows, likes, or comments, we store your TikTok username, the action type, the target account (username and TikTok account ID) or video ID, the scheduled time and status, and, for comments, the comment text you chose. Scheduling actions requires a Growbot account.
- Failure reports: when a scheduled action fails, the action type, HTTP status, a short reason, and an excerpt of TikTok's response, so we can diagnose problems and pause automation safely.
- Gender filter lookups, if you turn that feature on: first names taken from public profile information, sent to our servers for lookup. We do not store these as a separate user profile.
- Log tab text: about every 15 minutes, when it has changed, the extension uploads the most recent part of its Log tab (up to about 20 KB) with your installation GUID and extension version. The Log can include your TikTok username, the usernames of accounts you followed, unfollowed, liked or otherwise acted on, and error messages. We keep only the latest upload per installation and use it for support and to understand why people uninstall.
- Uninstall feedback: when you remove the extension, your browser opens a Growbot page that records the extension version, browser language, installation GUID and whether a subscription is still active, plus any reason, comment or email you choose to send on that page.
- Technical data: IP address, request timestamps, and extension version in server logs when you call our APIs or visit our website.
Read from TikTok in your browser
To run automation, the extension reads what your TikTok session can already see on tiktok.com: public profile fields and counts, follower and following lists, videos, comments, hashtag and search results, and your For You feed. These requests are sent from your browser, in your logged-in session, the same way the TikTok website requests them. We do not access private TikTok data that your session cannot access.
Handled by third parties
Some data is processed outside Growbot when you use the Service:
- Stripe collects and processes payment card and billing details when you buy or manage a subscription through our buy screen. We do not store full card numbers on Growbot servers.
- Google Analytics may run on our website to measure site traffic. It does not run in the TikTok extension. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Sentry receives server-side error reports. Those reports may include technical context such as API route, timestamps, and sometimes usernames or identifiers needed to debug a problem.
- TikTok: you use tiktok.com under TikTok's terms and privacy policy. Growbot only interacts with TikTok through your browser session.
How we use data
We use the information above to run and improve Growbot. That includes:
- TikTok automation (finding and filtering accounts and videos, follow, unfollow, like, comment, queues, and scheduling).
- Community Monitoring of your own followers and following, in your browser.
- Free-trial and paid subscription checks.
- Growbot account login, registration, and password reset.
- Running scheduled actions, showing them in your Actions Queue, and recording their completion or failure.
- Optional features such as gender-based filtering and affiliate referral tracking.
- Customer support, abuse prevention, and bug fixes.
- Keeping the Service reliable and secure.
We do not sell your personal data, use extension data for personalized advertising, or use your data to judge creditworthiness.
How we store data
On your device
Extension settings, queues, lists, Community Monitoring data, and cached session data live in chrome.storage.local (or the equivalent extension storage API). The extension does not store data in tiktok.com's own page storage.
On our servers
Data sent to Growbot is stored in databases on servers we control, currently in the United States. That covers user accounts, trial and install records, subscription linkage, scheduled-action records, failure reports, and server logs.
Security
Traffic between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS. Growbot account passwords are hashed before storage. No transmission or storage method is perfectly secure. We use reasonable safeguards but cannot promise absolute security.
How we share data
We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers: Stripe (payments), Google Analytics (website traffic), and Sentry (error monitoring), each only as needed for the service they provide to us. Their privacy policies govern their use of data.
- Legal and safety: when the law requires it, to protect our rights, to investigate abuse, or to protect users and the public.
- Business transfers: if Growbot is sold, merged, or reorganized, user data may move with that transaction. We will give notice where the law requires it.
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to data brokers, ad networks, or other third parties for their own marketing.
TikTok and ByteDance
Growbot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance. The extension works inside tiktok.com using your own logged-in session and your own IP address. We do not route your TikTok traffic through shared proxies. Your use of TikTok is still governed by TikTok's terms and privacy policy.
Website cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar tools for sessions, preferences, security, and analytics. You can tell your browser to block cookies, but some parts of the site may stop working.
Data retention
We keep information as long as we need it to run the Service and for ordinary business purposes:
- Account data: until you ask us to delete your Growbot account or until the law says we must remove it.
- Trial and install records: as long as needed to enforce trial limits and tie subscriptions to installs.
- Scheduled-action records and failure reports: for your Actions Queue history, scheduling, and support troubleshooting.
- Server logs: for a limited time for security and debugging.
Your choices and rights
- Local data: uninstall the extension or clear browser and extension storage to remove data stored on your device, including Community Monitoring lists.
- Scheduled actions: you can delete pending actions at any time from the Actions Queue.
- Account deletion and data requests: email growbotautomator@gmail.com to ask us to delete your Growbot account or other personal data we hold. We will reply within a reasonable time.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us to use those rights.
Children's privacy
The Service is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you think a child gave us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Growbot Automator for TikTok's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We collect and use user data only to provide and improve the TikTok automation features described on our Chrome Web Store listing. We do not sell user data, use it for personalized advertising, or transfer it except as described in this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. For important changes, we may also post a notice on the website or email you. If you keep using the Service after an update takes effect, that counts as acceptance of the revised policy.
